There are some places that visitors have to be prepared to encounter. I would likely put the Wisconsin Dells in this category. Located north of Madison, Wisconsin, the Dells are what I would refer to as a mini Disney World...with a twist. What is that twist? Well, just add water! Wisconsin Dells is referred to as the "Waterpark Capital of the World"!
For years my husband Brian had been saying he wanted to bring me to visit Sister Bay, Wisconsin. While growing up, he had spent a lot of time in this area called Door County. His mother was from there and their family frequently traveled from their home in Michigan to spend time on the old family farm.

Located just north of Baileys Harbor on Highway 57, and as in-the-middle-of-nowhere as you are likely to get in Door County, the AC Tap is about as real as it gets, but in a good way.
